Pinellas County Teacher of the Year Top 10 Finalists
Each year principals select one teacher of distinction to nominate for the school's teacher of the year award. Then ten educators from schools throughout Pinellas County are spotlighted as finalists for the district’s Teacher of the Year award sponsored by the Pinellas Education Foundation. Those finalists are chosen by a panel of judges based on multiple criteria. - 2017

Patricia Behring Teacher of the Year Award - Florida
The National Patricia Behring Teacher of the Year Award is awarded to a teacher who has shown outstanding creativity, commitment, and inspiration in developing student interest in history education. To qualify for the Patricia Behring Teacher of the Year Award, teachers must participate in the National History Day Contest and demonstrate excellence in the classroom. Winners are chosen by a team of teachers, administrators, and historians. Each of the 56 affiliates of National History Day® awards one teacher in each division $500 and nominates him or her for the National Patricia Behring Teacher of the Year Award. "Rader is the Senior division winner from Florida and is now nominated for the national award." - 2016

Teacher Prestige Award
An award designated by area principals for outstanding teaching, leadership, and service. I was recognized for bringing AP Human Geography and the Urban Debate League to my school. Student achievement in my AP course was also recognized. - 2011
