Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Geography Lesson Lab mobile application (the "App") operated by SkillForge ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using the App on behalf of a school, district, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. ACCOUNTS

You must create an account to access most features of the App. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at skillforge787@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that are associated with fraudulent activity.

3. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAYMENTS

Geography Lesson Lab offers a free tier and a paid "Pro" subscription. Subscription details, pricing, and billing intervals are displayed in the App prior to purchase.

- Billing. Subscriptions are billed through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase.

- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

- Cancellation. You may cancel at any time through your Google Play or Apple App Store account settings. Access continues until the end of the paid period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time.

- Refunds. Refund requests are handled by the applicable app store in accordance with their policies. We do not process refunds directly.

- Price changes. We may change subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Continued use after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance.

4. LICENSE TO USE THE APP

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on a device you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use as a teacher or educator.

You may not:

- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App or its content.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the App's source code.
- Sell, sublicense, or redistribute the App or access to it.
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable law or these Terms.
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits, subscription paywalls, or any security measures in the App.

5. AI-GENERATED CONTENT

The App uses artificial intelligence (powered by the Claude API from Anthropic) to generate lesson content. You acknowledge that:

- AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, errors, or outdated information. You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before using it with students.

- We do not guarantee that generated content is accurate, complete, curriculum-aligned, or appropriate for any specific educational setting.

- You retain ownership of the prompts you submit and the final edited lesson materials you produce. You grant us a limited license to process your prompts solely to provide the service.

- You may not use the App to generate content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All software, design, trademarks, and branding associated with Geography Lesson Lab are the property of SkillForge and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of our intellectual property to you.

7. USER CONDUCT

You agree not to use the App to:

- Violate any local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App, our servers, or third-party systems connected to the App.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App.

8. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The App integrates with third-party services including Supabase (data storage), RevenueCat (subscription management), Anthropic (AI content generation), and Expo (push notifications). Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the actions or policies of third-party providers.

9. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SKILLFORGE AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $10 USD IF YOU HAVE NOT MADE ANY PAYMENTS.

11. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SkillForge and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. TERMINATION

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, all licenses granted to you immediately cease. Sections 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination.

13. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall first be addressed by contacting us at skillforge787@gmail.com. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in English. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

14. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date above or by posting a notice in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
